Book Clubs

Book Clubs at the Library!

Book clubs are the perfect way to read and meet others in your community. The South Coastal Library offers 4 book clubs that focus on a variety of different genres that are sure to meet the need of any reader!

These clubs are free to join and open to anyone ages 18 and up.

Join us once a month for a cookbook book club at the library! Each month, participants will make a recipe from the chosen cookbook (voted by members of the group) and then will bring in the dish to share with the group.

Participants are encouraged to discuss cooking, recipes and how to improve them, and the book itself. This club is also a great way for you to meet members of your community and to try new foods!

2026 Meeting Dates:

Walk through different true crime cases–both solved and unsolved–with Rachel and other true crime enthusiasts. Share theories, knowledge, memories, and more with others in a welcoming, nonjudgmental environment.

Each meeting will focus on a particular true crime case and a recommended book to accompany the case.

Please note, you do not have to read the book to participate in the club.

The group meets on select months to discuss a chosen book. Books selected are works of fiction from various genres and authors.

This program is designed to promote literacy, encourage critical thinking, foster social interaction, and promote diverse titles, ideas, and stories to the general public.

2026 Meeting Dates:

Meet on a select Tuesday most months to discuss a different historical fiction book at the South Coastal Library. Occasionally, we may choose to discuss and read a nonfiction title or a biography, however, most months will focus on historical fiction.
