COVID-19 Update
Effective immediately: due to the increase in COVID-19, we are no longer able to schedule computer use appointments. Books to Go (lobby pickup of holds) and the following services listed below continue to be available! Please call South Coastal Library for questions or an appointment. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
Current services:
- Books to Go – Contactless pick up of holds in our lobby area by appointment. Looking for something to read? To browse our catalog please visit: https://dlc.lib.de.us/
- Library book-drop and media-drop is open. Items are quarantined for 72 hours after they are returned. Items will remain on your account for at least 72 hours. There are no late fees through the end of 2020.
- Phone service Speak to a friendly librarian or staff member during these hours. Monday – Friday: 10 am to 4:30 pm. Saturday: 10 am to 3 pm
- Virtual Programs – Attend free, fun and educational programs for all ages via Zoom or Facebook Live. To register for South Coastal programs visit our website and click on full calendar under “what’s happening”.
- Grab & Go Bags – Drop by the library and grab a bag of free books. Gently used books are in plastic bags arranged by genre, author or theme. Located on a cart in our lobby, while supplies last and time permits.
- Virtual resources – Access eBooks online, look at your favorite magazines for free & more!
- Wifi Hotspots -Libraries throughout Sussex are now serving as WiFi ‘hotspots’ to provide broadband access to the community. Internet access will be available 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily until further notice. To connect search for ‘Library-Outdoors’ or ‘Library Public’. We have a garden area with tables and seating for your convenience.
