Special Performances for Kids

Check out the special performers we have coming to the library this summer! Please look for any age requirements or preregistration requirements.

June 29 at 2:00 to 2:45 pm: “Hooked on Books” with master comic Mark Lohr. Discover that it’s possible to learn and laugh at the same time! For kids of all ages. You must accompany your child to this program. (This program is possible by collaboration between the Delaware Division of the Arts and the Delaware Division of Library Services. )

July 11 at 2:00 to 2:45 pm: “DASEF: Build a Better World” with the Delaware Aerospace Education Foundation. You and your child will visit several stations to practice your engineering and design skills. For ages 6 to 11 years. In person preregistration required. Registration begins July 1. You must accompany your child to this program. (This program is possible by collaboration between the Delaware Division of the Arts and the Delaware Division of Library Services. )

August 1 at 10:30 to 11:15 am: “Build It Better Shop” with Rick Waterhouse. This musical vignette incorporates music, science, puppets, and books to help the owner of a Fix-It Shop repair various items brought to the shop by an assortment of characters. For ages 4 & up. You must accompany your child to this program. (This program is possible by collaboration between the Delaware Division of the Arts and the Delaware Division of Library Services. )

August 22 at 2:00 to 3:00 pm: “Henry Builds a Cabin” with the Delaware Nature Society. Hear a story and learn about Delaware wildlife habitats. For grades K to 5. In person preregistration required. Registration begins August 1. You must accompany your child to this program. (This program is possible by collaboration between the Delaware Division of the Arts and the Delaware Division of Library Services. )
